YMCA Strathalbyn Early Learning Centre is a warm, community-run centre where small-town values meet quality early education. Our experienced educators know every child by name and take the time to understand each family’s needs.

Set within the Strathalbyn Children’s Centre precinct, our children enjoy paddock views, open green spaces, animals, and daily nature play that makes the most of our beautiful country setting. Indoors, purpose-designed rooms for babies, toddlers, and kindergarten-aged children support learning through play, creativity, and inquiry.

We provide nutritious morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea each day, prepared with growing bodies in mind. Our program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and shaped by children’s interests and curiosity.

We are the only childcare provider in Strathalbyn accredited by the Australian Childhood Foundation for child safety, giving families an extra layer of confidence. As a not-for-profit centre operated by YMCA South Australia, all fees are reinvested in our community. We offer the lowest long day care fees in town.

From January 2026, eligible families receive at least three subsidised days of care per week through the Australian Government’s 3 Day Guarantee, regardless of work or study activity.
