About Yaralla Child Care Centre
Welcome to Yaralla Child Care Centre at Concord Hospital.
We are a 60-place not-for-profit early education and care centre. Owned and operated by Concord Repatriation General Hospital, our purpose is to provide quality, affordable education and care for employees of the hospital and the wider community.
Our warm, positive and enriching learning environment is designed for children aged 3-months, up to school age.
We are committed to children's safety, continuous improvement in our service delivery and curriculum planning.
At Yaralla, everything that we do fosters children's development and to create a community - a place that is meaningful to all the people who share it. We have played a significant role in our community for more than 40 years and are committed to inclusive practices that respect and celebrate diversity.
We believe:
- that children have the right to grow in a happy, nurturing environment where they feel safe, secure, accepted and sense of belonging.
- that children flourish in a stimulating environment in which they can explore, learn and belong in a meaningful space.
- it is important to acknowledge and respect our families' social, cultural and linguistic diversity when making curriculum decisions to ensure that the program is inclusive to all.
- in supporting children to develop respect, empathy and healthy self-esteem and self-image.
- that early childhood education is the foundation for lifelong learning. The rights and best interests of the child underpin everything we do and that their safety, health and wellbeing are of paramount importance.
