About Wonder World Childcare Kindergarten

Wonder World Childcare Kindergarten is a Steiner-inspired early learning centre opening in March 2025 in Thornbury. We offer a nurturing, play-based environment that supports self-directed learning through nature-rich resources and creative exploration. Our highly qualified educators foster hands-on learning with a strong ethical foundation. We provide organic, vegetarian meals and promote a natural, sustainable setting. Guided by the Steiner Early Childhood Education Approach, our daily rhythm includes storytelling, singing, gardening, cooking, and self-care activities. We value strong community connections and offer workshops to help families and educators incorporate the Steiner philosophy at home.

We feel so lucky to have found Wonder World Childcare Kindergarten. Our daughter has been attending for a few months now, and is really enjoying her time there -- we have been quite surprised as we thought it would take her a long time to settle into an external care environment, but it's been such a smooth transition. The WWCK team, and especially Jasmine, have been so accommodating. The environment at WWCK is so wonderful and calm, and I can tell our child really has benefitted from that. The Educators have made a great effort to connect to our child, and we have felt welcomed as a whole family. We didn't originally seek out a Steiner inspired service, but a lot of the Steiner philosophies have aligned well with our own family values - we love that our child isn't exposed to screens, spends much of the day outdoors, is a part of a community, connecting to self, the environment and her peers.

Thank you, Gem, for your comments, it's so lovely to see our new children take time to adjust to the changes, children have an amazing capacity to learn, we appreciate you and your Husband being patient and understanding of your daughter's needs and supporting her to go through the process!
