Wind In The Willows Child Care Centre

Wind in the Willows Learning Centre is a family-owned long-day preschool and nursery committed to providing the very best in care and early learning for children aged 12 months to 5-yrs. We’re a small, 28 children per day centre offering a warm, family atmosphere and very low staff turnover. Located near the Light Rail and convenient to bus stops, we also offer on-site parking. Our outdoor area is as large as the indoor space and features a sandpit, play equipment and wide lawns for running and bike riding, all bordered by tall trees for nature play and exploration.

We operate with educator-to-child ratios that exceed recommended standards, ensuring stability, individual attention and continuity of care. A dedicated team of experienced educators delivers stimulating, play-based programs in a light, airy, homely environment designed for sensory learning. Children enjoy a rich range of resources — books, toys, costumes — and engaging activities such as art, music and science that foster cognitive, social and gross-motor development, wellbeing and a true sense of belonging.

We are also active in the government-funded Start Strong preschool program, which provides extra resources, targeted learning experiences and stronger transitions to school for all preschool children.
