About Willow Cottage Early Learning Centre

Willow Cottage Early Learning Centre is privately owned and provides care for children aged 0-5 years.

The centre occupies two cottages surrounded by trees and their aim is to provide a home away from home, where children can flourish emotionally and socially, and learn life skills in a stimulating and beautiful environment.

At Willow Cottage they believe that children learn through play. Play is incorporated into a balanced learning program that integrates intentional as well as spontaneous experiences. Through play, children are provided with continual opportunities to explore and express themselves as individuals, test their theories and discover the world in which they live, while developing an appreciation for their natural environment.

They have an emergent curriculum at Willow which incorporates children's interests, spontaneous experiences, family input, and educational intentional teaching. The curriculum reflects early childhood practice, including links to the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

The centre is open Mon - Fri 8:0am - 6:00pm

Willow Cottage is not just a daycare, it’s a beautiful community and second home. My daughter has been attending for the past 3 years (toddler room and pre-school room) and we have had the most amazing experience. The tenure of the educators is very long, which was important to me - and it shows. They are remarkably caring, creative, intelligent, responsible and generous with their time. Many of them have children of different ages who also attend the centre; a testament to how good it is. The school readiness program in preschool is fantastic. My daughter comes home with a wealth of new skills and interests every week. On another note, I’ve personally made so many wonderful friends through Willow. There are a huge range of family types and backgrounds, which is very important to me. Despite now living a few suburbs away from Willow, I will definitely be sending my second daughter there as well. It’s worth the commute. I couldn’t recommend Willow Cottage more highly.
