About Westmead Early Education Centre

Westmead Early Education Centre (WEEC) has a long-standing reputation of providing exceptional care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. With high educator to child ratios and a positive, engaging learning environment, the children explore the world around them and develop their unique skills, interests and strengths. The educators develop trusting and collaborative relationships with the children and their families and foster a strong sense of community within the Service.

WEEC is an architecturally designed purpose-built centre and features a Preschool Centre and an Early Learning Centre. The Early Learning Centre is a beautifully renovated ‘home-like’ cottage with a natural garden learning environment. The Preschool Centre, is spacious and includes well-resourced learning facilities. Our in-house cook prepares fresh healthy meals using produce from our vegetable garden and eggs from our chickens. Our huge outdoor garden learning environment is our ‘wow’ factor with many children referring to it as the “park”.

Located close to Wentworthville train station and bus stops, WEEC also offers convenient parking and secure building access for peace of mind. Why not book a tour of this caring and community-focused early education centre today?

I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Westmead Early Education Centre for their support and guidance during my traineeship. Completing my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care would not have been possible without the encouragement and mentorship I received here. To Sultana Thanawala, our incredible Centre Director, thank you for your leadership and for fostering such a supportive and nurturing environment for both educators and children. Your approachability and dedication inspired me every day. To my colleagues Swati, Isabella, Pardeep, Prabhleen, and Pratixa, working alongside you has been a truly enriching experience. Each of you brought unique strengths and perspectives to the team, and I’ve learned so much from observing and collaborating with you. I also want to acknowledge and thank all the other educators in the centre who shared their knowledge, experience, and valuable insights with me. Your patience and willingness to help have been instrumental in my growth as an educator. During my time here, I have gained practical skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what it means to provide quality care and education to children. I am truly grateful for the chance to work with such an amazing team, and I will always cherish the experiences and lessons I’ve had here. It is hard and sad for me to leave this centre, as it has become such a special part of my life. I will deeply miss the warm and supportive environment, the children, and the incredible team that made every day so fulfilling. Thank you all for helping me on this journey and for believing in me!
