About Goodstart Waranara Early Education Centre
Waranara Early Education Centre, located at the historic South Sydney Hospital site, opened in September 2018. Our purpose-built centre offers 74 much-needed places for children in the Green Square area. Named after the Gadigal word "Waranara," meaning "to seek," the centre honours Sydney's traditional custodians and focuses on early learning through play.
Our architecturally designed, single-level building features modern, nature-inspired learning spaces with direct access to outdoor playgrounds, complete with a kitchen, digging patch, water, and sand play. Led by highly experienced Centre Director Tanya Elsinger, each age group is guided by qualified teachers who provide enriching early learning experiences.
We prioritise affordable care and offer priority access to children with additional support needs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from low-income families, and those who speak a language other than English at home.
We look forward to welcoming you to Waranara Early Education Centre!
