Sparrow Early Learning Jacobs Ridge

Located at the entrance of the Jacobs Ridge Estate in Ormeau, we are proud to be a central part of our community by providing high quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our dedicated educators have drawn on their expertise and experience to create a nurturing and inclusive environment in which children feel safe, secure and supported to play, learn and grow.

Strong community connection and building positive relationships with families is of key importance to us. We value families as our co-educators and encourage them to participate in all aspects of our service and their children's learning. 

Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy and guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, our educators provide a holistic, play-based curriculum with a strong emphasis on nature and outdoor learning experiences. We celebrate each child as unique and our dedicated educators focus programming on meeting the individual needs and interests of each child.

Indoor learning spaces feel just like home and are filled with materials and resources that come straight from nature and everyday life. Activities are largely open-ended to allow children to follow their interests, use their imagination and stimulate social interactions with their peers and educators. 

Exciting outdoor environments provide further opportunities for imaginative and collaborative play, with children enjoying open green spaces, climbing equipment, sandpits and our elephant that sprays water!

Our kindergarten program is led by a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher. An integrated School Readiness Program ensures children are supported to develop the language, literacy, numeracy and social skills required for a successful transition to school.
