At Sparrow Early Learning Carrum Downs, we are passionate about creating a place where our children feel valued and respected. Our learning environment is a happy and fun place for our children and families to be a part of and most importantly, a home away from home. At Sparrow Carrum Downs we embrace the image of the child as a creative, confident and active learner. Our qualified, Early Childhood Educators use the Early Years Framework as a guide which is intended to support curriculum decision making to extend and enrich children’s learning from birth to five years and through the transition to school.

We aim to provide programs that are fun, educational, inclusive and reflective. The play based program is created based on the developmental needs, interests and experiences of all the children in our care.

Our Studios promote a natural environment which provides opportunities to teach children about caring for the world in which we live including:

• Sandpits for sensory, symbolic and physical play
• Plants to encourage birds, butterflies and other insects
• Natural play spaces outdoors to encourage risk taking, fine motor development and imaginative play
• Water play areas for sensory play
• Trees which provide shade.
