Shining Stars Childcare Centre

We enrolled our daughter at Shining Stars after her original local daycare declined rapidly following a change in management. From the moment she arrived, she was so warmly welcomed. We were incredibly lucky to secure a place when a spot became available, and it truly felt like fate. She formed beautiful friendships, and the educators were consistently warm, friendly, nurturing, and genuinely caring. What stood out immediately was how safe she felt. The team works with such unity that she was comfortable with any educator. At her previous daycare, she would be inconsolable if her usual teacher was absent; here, the consistency and teamwork meant she always felt secure and supported. The centre itself is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Their pre-kindergarten program was outstanding and prepared Harper for kindergarten far more than I realised at the time — something that became very clear once she started school last year. We now send our son, who is in his second year at the centre. We anticipated some separation anxiety returning after the break, but instead he was excited to come back and has already grown in confidence. Both of our children rave about the food — so much so that if we arrive during afternoon tea, they refuse to leave until they’ve finished eating! Their nutrition program is outstanding. Staff retention is another huge testament to the quality of Shining Stars. Many of the educators have been there since opening, or not long after, which creates a wonderful sense of stability and familiarity for both children and families. Communication is exceptional. The centre is organised, proactive, and clear, and families are never left second-guessing or uncertain about anything. Both of our children have asthma and allergies, and the procedures in place to manage their needs are thorough, clear, and consistently followed. Every staff member is well informed, which gives us enormous peace of mind. I was always apprehensive about childcare, despite knowing the social benefits for my children. However, I can honestly say I feel completely at ease every time my children are — and have been — here. I will be genuinely sad when our time at this centre comes to an end, but I am so grateful that my children have been able to experience such a nurturing, supportive, and exceptional environment.
