About Rise Early Learning Abbotsford

Leap Early Learning Abbotsford was short listed for the 2021 Architecture Award in the Educational Architecture category at the NSW Chapter Australian Institute of Architecture Awards.

Situated within Chatham House, a heritage listed federation house. A new purpose built educational play space surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens, is the ideal location to encourage children's curiosity and exploration.

We are committed to delivering high quality early years education. Everything we do is about empowering children to succeed in life.

We believe children have the right to access rich learning environments that support our inquiry-based pedagogy and educational outcomes. We embrace the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), a national curriculum framework, as the basis for developing our program.

Educational Program & Practice

Our inquiry-based pedagogy is designed to inspire children's natural curiosity to explore, discover, question and imagine as they learn through play. Children's ideas, interests, strengths, and capabilities form the foundation of our curriculum and drive our goal setting process. Our program includes a wide variety of rich learning opportunities across a range of curriculum areas. This also includes regular incursions, excursions, language and music lessons. Our mixed-age environments also provide unique learning opportunities as children learn and challenge each other.

Our Team - Our educators provide provisions to guide, reflect and scaffold meaningful learning to support children in reaching their potential.

Partnerships - We believe partnerships with families provide valuable knowledge and diversity, contributing to our positive learning community. We do this through transparent, clear communication and meaningful engagement with all stakeholders.

High-quality learning environments - The service has been thoughtfully designed in collaboration with leading architects, landscape designers, skilled and experienced early childhood professionals to create an environment that will be nurturing and stimulating, whilst providing appropriate levels of challenge and risk, to engage the natural curiosity and developmental growth for children at every stage.

Strong connection with families - We believe building, strong respectful relationships with families is key to helping children to belong.

All-inclusive service - We feel that no child within our service should go without. This is why we will develop an all-inclusive offering for families. Fresh seasonal menu, formula, nappies and wipes and bedding for all age groups. A high quality educational curriculum that includes a comprehensive transition to school program.

Reviews for Rise Early Learning Abbotsford

AVOID AT ALL COSTS I am deeply disappointed and appalled by the experience my family (three children) had with this childcare centre. The management here is beyond inadequate, notably since they switched to “Rise” (you’ll note that five star reviews were for the previous Leap centre). The constant rotation of staff has led to a chaotic environment where supervision is severely compromised. This lack of continuity not only disrupts the children’s development but also puts their safety at serious risk. An alarming incident occurred where my 2-year-old child was injured due to the poor supervision of the staff, and to make matters worse, we were not notified for 1.5 hours. This failure to promptly inform parents in such critical situations is unacceptable and demonstrates the severe shortcomings of the centre’s management. The management’s inability to maintain consistent and competent staffing directly contributes to these dangerous situations, putting children in harm’s way. It is clear that they appear to prioritise profit over the well-being of the children, compromising safety and quality of care in the process. Since this incident and many similar incidents, many families have decided to leave the centre, which speaks volumes about the lack of trust in the management and their ability to provide a safe environment. No parent should have to question whether their child is safe at a childcare facility. I strongly advise any parent to think twice before entrusting their child to this centre. The wellbeing of our children should never be left to chance, and sadly, that is exactly what happens here due to the poor management and lack of proper oversight. This is unacceptable, and I hope others take this review seriously when making such an important decision for their families.
