Only About Children Waitara

At Only About Children Waitara, we believe that our holistic approach to childcare gives every child the best opportunity to reach their full potential. Our quality early learning programs are innovative, with a focus on health, wellbeing and education. 

Our purpose-built Campus is located at 32 Palmerston Road, just a 15-minute walk from both Hornsby Station and Waitara Station, and two doors down from Hornsby Hospital. Waitara Public School is a five-minute walk from this early learning centre. With both street parking and onsite parking available, families can enjoy a problem-free drop off and pick up every visit. There is a bus stop just around the corner with buses travelling in both directions. 

With two dedicated outdoor play areas, featuring sandpits, shaded areas, child-lead gardens, vegetable patches and worm farm, children have lots of space for exploration and creativity. Our two age-based indoor spaces are designed to encourage children to learn and grow, at their age and stage of development, in a secure ‘home away from home’ environment. We love to connect with our local area and community through excursions and activities that feed into children’s interests and learning. At Only About Children childcare Waitara, these include regular excursions to our local parks and gardens. 

When your child is enrolled at Only About Children childcare Waitara, they are included in our Health Program, offering specialist screening and support in Nutrition, Vision, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology. Each day your child will enjoy nourishing and freshly prepared, seasonal, meals designed by a qualified Dietitian. 

At our Waitara childcare centre we believe that our Educators are our greatest strength. They are qualified and passionate about creating an early learning environment where your child can feel happy, nurtured, stimulated and safe. We support the development of growing minds, in nursery and preschool aged children, through our educational curriculum – Oac Grow. Our programs focus on exploration, technology, literacy and numeracy, sustainability and creative expression. All of our teachings are offered in an inclusive, fun environment.
