We take a holistic approach to childcare and kindergarten at Only About Children Hawthorn. We believe that every child is given the best opportunity to reach their full potential through innovative quality early learning programs, with a focus on education, health and wellbeing. 

Our beautiful purpose-built three-level Campus is conveniently located on ocated at 140-142 Barkers Road, Hawthorn, just across from Xavier College, with several private schools and public schools within the local Hawthorn area. We are close to public transport. With onsite parking provided, families can enjoy an efficient drop off and pick up every visit. 

Children have ample space to create, explore and lead their own play in all of our four dedicated outdoor areas. Our Kinder space has a vast play area with a large sandpit and slides, and our toddler space overlooks the Melbourne City skyline. Our five age-based indoor spaces are specifically designed to encourage children to learn and grow with a focus on safety and natural elements. We enjoy connecting with our local community through planned excursions and community activities that build on the children’s interests and learning. 

When your child is enrolled at Only About Children childcare Hawthorn, they are included in our innovative Health Program, with specialist screening and ongoing support in Nutrition, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Vision. They will enjoy a nourishing seasonal menu, designed by a qualified Dietitian and prepared by our Cooks each day. 

With a team of qualified and passionate Educators, your child will find an early learning environment where they feel safe, nurtured, stimulated and happy. Our educational curriculum – Oac Grow – gives Nursery and Kindergarten children the best opportunity to develop their growing minds, with programs ranging from literacy and numeracy to exploration, technology, creative expression and sustainability. Each day your child will participate in our fun, inclusive programs.

With an innovative play-based curriculum we stand out by delivering intentional teaching in dynamic small group learning environments where children’s successes, skills and challenges are monitored on an ongoing basis.

Only About Children is proud to display the Kinder Tick because we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.
