Neek's Family Day Care

I offer a warm, home-based learning environment where babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children are nurtured as individuals, supported through play-based learning and encouraged to grow in confidence as they develop the skills they need for a smooth transition to school.

I have been providing Family Day Care since 2000 and I love what I do. Supporting children as they learn, grow and develop a strong sense of belonging is something I feel very passionate about. I am Diploma qualified and regularly update my knowledge through ongoing professional development training, including child protection, behaviour guidance, food handling and many more. I also keep my First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma training current.

I am a warm, friendly and professional educator who genuinely cares about each child. I take the time to really get to know every child and their family so I can support them in a way that feels right for them. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, secure and valued.

My program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and is based on the children’s interests, strengths and ideas. I love watching their curiosity guide our days and I adjust my program to follow what excites them. Routines are in place to provide comfort and structure, but I remain flexible so learning can be meaningful and responsive, and each child's needs are met.

I believe learning should be fun, playful and full of discovery. I provide a balance of indoor and outdoor play, sensory experiences, creative activities and active exploration.

I focus strongly on relationships, confidence, emotional wellbeing and social skills, while also supporting early literacy, numeracy and independence for school readiness.
