Lizandre Family Day Care - Childcare on an Urban Food Farm

We established Family Day Care on 17/06/2008

We provide Childcare on an Urban Food Farm where children learn that food comes from the earth. Children are involved in harvesting, nurturing and planting of fruit, flowers and vegetables on a daily basis. 

We are extremely proud of our gardens - flower and vegetable - as well as our 20 fruit trees.

We embrace sustainability values and offer a holistic approach to childcare.

Included in the daily fee of $122.64  are :-  5 meals each day - from the garden to the plate. 

Food is of optimum importance as we ensure that our children receive nutritious, healthy meals that they will enjoy. Our ratio is one adult to 4 children ( with additional home help ) and,as a result, we can tailor the children's meals to their needs/ preferances.... No child goes home hungry.... They do, however, often go home with home grown fruit, flowers and vegetables for Mum and Dad...

We also provide Nappies, Wipes, Sunscreen, a water bottle and a sunhat for each child who attends. 

We offer Occassional care during the week if and when available.
