About KU Greenwood Children's Centre

Our Program and Approach

At KU Greenwood, we view each child as an individual with unique abilities and interests. We aim to create an environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging and trust, where they are able to learn, grow and reach their full potential.

We believe that children learn through play, by actively exploring their environment via a range of developmentally appropriate, multi-sensory experiences within a positive, safe, fun, flexible and stimulating learning environment.

Our program offers children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning. Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing.

Our educators are positive role models and support children’s learning through the use of structured, non-structured and spontaneous learning opportunities. Our educators are committed to ensuring children build secure and strong relationships with carers, as well as having positive and open relationships with families.

At KU Greenwood, we are proud of our reputation within the local community of providing rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way.

We greatly value the strong relationships between our staff, children and families, and we look forward to the opportunity of including your family in the life of our centre.

We cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible team at KU greenwood plaza child care, for their unwavering support and care looking after our boy for the past two years. The change we made in moving our son to KU greenwood is one we still remember fondly to this day. Coming from a different place when every morning was a struggle to say goodbye, KU Greenwood quickly became a second home that our boy continued to adore. As parents, there is nothing more we'd wish for other than knowing our child is happy and thriving in an environment where he feels safe, loved, and supported. Thank you all once again for everything. We are forever grateful. Attached is photo of the adorable mug you made for our son as a parting gift. It's truly thoughtful and cute. Warm regards, Winna & Louis

KU Greenwood is a very special daycare centre. We were fortunate to have our two kids attend from when they were about 10 months old. The carers are exceptionally warm and professional and made our kids feel part of the KU family. The centre is very small which means the carers really get to know the kids personally. Management are wonderful too, and in the 3 years we were with the centre there was virtually no staff turnover. We could not have asked for a better environment for our kids to thrive. We will greatly miss the wonderful team at KU Greenwood.

I regularly pick up my granddaughter from the baby section of KU Greenwood where she has been since 4months of age. There is an amazing but necessary bond between carers, baby and family and I am so impressed with the level of care, safety and communication, in what has been a really challenging COVID year. The centre is small and personable, with a new shaded outdoor play area. The educators are consistent, positive and communicative and the children are happy in a calm environment. Highly recommended....

We have sent our daughter to KU Greenwood for the last 12 months since she was 4 months old! We could not recommend this day-care more. The staff have formed such a special bond with her - every time we see her at KU she is content, smiling and/or playing. You don't want anything else other than to leave your young babies/children in reliable and loving hands that genuinely care about child. The staff go above and beyond, the outdoor area is huge with lots to do, the food is healthy/variety, our daughter sleeps well and the learning/activities are great! There are no faults!!!
