About Julia’s FDC
I have been a family day care educator with Northern Beaches Council FDC for over six years. With more than 18 years of experience in early childhood education - including long day care, preschools, and language teaching-I bring a deep understanding of child development and learning.
I love family day care because it provides a warm, nurturing space for children experiencing their first out-of-home care. Supporting families through this important transition is something I truly value. Working with small groups allows me to build strong connections, create tailored learning experiences, and nurture each children’s unique strengths. I also enjoy incorporating nature into our days, helping children develop a love and respect for the environment.
I hold a Master of Teaching (Birth to Five) from Macquarie University and am a mother of three. This combination of professional knowledge and lived experience gives me a deep empathy for families and the challenges they face. I also speak Portuguese and Spanish, which I use daily in my multicultural classroom.
