About Joondalup Family Centre
Pre-kindergarten is an important step in preparing your child for their future schooling. Studies show that quality early childhood education gives children developmental opportunities and improves their school readiness. In fact, children who arrive at school "ready" are more likely to do well in future years.
The Joondalup Family Centre offers a small boutique program with a maximum of 20 children in any class. The classes are run by a qualified early childhood teacher and an education assistant and focus on a child's social development and skill building that enable learning in a fun-filled, supportive and caring environment. The programs will enhance a child's self-esteem, develop problem-solving and concentration skills, learn respect for people’s cultural diversities, and control impulsivity.
Children learn as they play. For example, math’s is learnt using blocks and puzzles and recognising shapes, sizes and positions. Social skills are developed through sharing, taking turns and role-playing. Our programs are structured, though very flexible and dependant on the needs of the group.
