Insight Early Learning Kelmscott

Insight Early Learning Kelmscott is a new, architecturally designed child care centre that is committed to sustainability. It is located just moments away from the Armadale-Kelmscott Memorial Hospital, making it ideal for residents and commuters.

Children from 6 weeks of age up to 5 years old are cared for by educators who understand the value of strong relationships with families. We also cater for before and afterschool care, collecting from Clifton Hills Primary Schoo.. The centre opened in 2020 and operates from 6.30 am - 6.30 pm 52 weeks of the year, with dedicated parking for parents on site. 

The shaded playground was designed by a landscape architect and includes space for yoga, meals and nap time. The real grass leads down to trees, sandpits, slides, a water pump feature, vegetable garden,  fruit trees and more. The children love the centre pets, including ducks, chickens, guinea pigs and silk worms.

The centre’s culturally diverse menu was designed within the Australian Nutritional dietary guidelines. Some of the children’s favourite meals include Thai green chicken curry, honey soy fish noodle stir-fry, and sticky lamb maple sausages and green beans.

The meals are served ‘family style’ where children are encouraged to serve themselves and one another from a few communal bowls placed on their table. This ritual is an important part of developing social skills and allowing the children to grow as friends. After the meal, older children will clear their plates, putting the leftovers into a bucket for the chickens.
