About Great Beginnings Gymea

About Great Beginnings Gymea Long Daycare and Preschool

Welcome to Great Beginnings Gymea. We're ideally located for families in Miranda, Kirrawee, Sylvania, Caringbah and Kareela.

Our Long Daycare and Preschool Centre provides early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

At Great Beginnings Gymea, we provide convenient, full care coverage from 9hr, 10hr or full days, 5 days per week, including school holidays.

Our longstanding dedicated team of Teachers and Educators provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment - where your child can thrive, and be their wonderful self, every day.

Getting school ready? We offer the 3 and 4-year-old Government-approved Preschool program that helps ensure your child has a successful transition to formal schooling.

We offer a great variety of learning experiences at Great Beginnings Gymea including:

- Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.

- Community Engagement Program: Encourages children to interact with and discover their local community. We often have visits from community services, and we go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment.

- Sports Program: Allows the children to be active and learn about different sports and movements.

- Music & Movement Program: Designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. Children learn to appreciate and develop an understanding of music - and of course, have fun.

- Language Development Programs: Our centre offers Dharawal lessons to help children develop an understanding of different languages and cultures. Learning additional languages provides children with intellectual advantages.

I currently work at Great Beginnings Gymea. I’ve been employed here the past 3 years and love every part of my job. From the first day i started i was welcomed above and beyond by every staff member and it made me feel so at ease. GBG has such a positive working environment and because of this it makes you want to come to work and do better each and every day not only for the children but the educators aswell!
