Glenroy Hub Children's Centre

Our family has been at GHCC for over two years and we are really satisfied with our experience. I was initially attracted by the shared outdoor space as it meant that my two children could play together when they were there. I also really liked all the natural elements and that children were given the opportunity to engage in risky play in a safe environment. It was wonderful for all of that, but the shared space also creates a culture amongst the educators where they care for all children, not only the ones in their rooms. It feels like a big family. All staff work hard to create a welcoming environment and we feel appreciated from the minute we walk in the entrance. The leadership team are very proactive in addressing any issues and the educators are always keen to share snippets from your child's day with you. One of my favourite aspects is how close the centre is to the library. The children are constantly visiting the library on excursions and it also encourages our family to go there after pick up and borrow books. My children have had the opportunity to read a lot more books than they would have if they went to a different centre. There is also a really lovely community of parents and carers that organise a monthly play date at the playground near the hub. It has helped support connections outside of the centre and has been a great way to get to know other people in the community.
