About Froebel St Leonards
Froebel St Leonards is a not-for-profit early learning centre and preschool, located in the heart of the Crows Nest / Wollstonecraft / St Leonards triangle. Our centre caters for 99 children aged 6 months to 5 years of age and stretches over 3 levels with a huge rooftop playground for all our children to enjoy.
Our philosophy is rooted in progressive ideas developed by Friedrich Froebel, the renowned educator who shaped the kindergarten concept almost 200 years ago. His holistic approach to early learning inspires us even today: child-centred, play-based, in unity with nature.

We loved the beautiful nursery team, but we had significant difficulties with the toddler team at FROEBEL. The communication was very poor, and our daughter frequently came home with nappy rashes. There were no efforts made to help her settle during drop-off, and we found the overall experience in the toddler room to be neglectful. It seemed that the staff did not genuinely enjoy their work environment. Lastly, there simply aren’t enough German-speaking staff members to even call this daycare bilingual.

Our son loves FROEBEL St Leonards. He started at 8 months, and the educators and centre management were really accommodating to a slow orientation period and helped both him and myself to get comfortable with the environment. He now smiles when we get in the lift, and everyone shows him so much care and affection. It's truly comforting to know that he's well looked after while I can't be with him.
