Explore & Develop Leichhardt, Early Education and Care Centre, is conveniently located in the vibrant heart of this Inner West suburb.

Retaining the beautiful rustic integrity of a former warehouse, this purpose built conversion provides a unique and inspiring environment for all children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age.

The centre is privately owned and operated by local mothers, both of whom are passionate about encouraging children to imagine, explore, discover and create. Opportunities for this are provided through a full and active program delivered by qualified and experienced educators.

Explore & Develop Leichhardt has a comprehensive preschool ‘school readiness’ program, implementing the same curriculum of the ‘Early Years Learning Framework’ (EYLF) used in preschool only centres.

The framework has specific emphasis on play based learning to develop a positive predisposition to learning.

With multiple outdoor areas, the architecturally designed play spaces specifically cater for different age groups to promote the development of gross motor skills, an appreciation of the natural environment and stimulating sensory challenges.

We appreciate that for most children, our centre will be the first education and care environment that they encounter. With this in mind, our aim is to foster a welcoming and home-like ambiance, where the children and their families feel a sense of security and belonging.
