In Aboriginal language, Elimatta means “our home,” symbolising belonging, safety, and nurturing. This reflects the environment we create for children and families at Elimatta Montessori and Early Learning Centre.

Our purpose-built centre sits in the leafy surrounds of Narre Warren North, at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges providing an ideal backdrop for children to learn, grow, and thrive.

As a family-owned and operated service, we are dedicated to warm, personalised care and strong partnerships with families. We value trust, connection, and excellence in education and wellbeing.

Our educational program is based on play-based learning, which is recognised in the VEYLDF and EYLF as essential for children’s development and wellbeing. Through play, children explore ideas, develop relationships, experiment with materials and build understanding of the world around them.

Educators use intentional teaching strategies to extend children’s learning by observing their interests, planning meaningful experiences and engaging children in collaborative exploration.

We proudly deliver a government-approved Free Kinder program for 3- and 4-year-olds, ensuring all children have access to quality early education. This program supports every child’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth during their vital early years.
