Welcome to our Newton Childcare and Kindergarten
Enter the Eden Academy Newton Childcare Centre to be instantly welcomed by our attentive staff who strive to make Eden Academy your home away from home.
We are a brand-new centre (opened June 2021), offering educational care between 7am-6pm, weekdays. We are open 52 weeks throughout the year, only closing on public holidays.
We are located on Gorge Road, not too far from the beautiful Thorndon Park, and conveniently located near many primary schools, including, Thorndon Park Primary, Athlestone Primary, Stradbroke Primary, Paradise Primary and Campbelltown Primary, all within a 2km radius. Being next to Thorndon Park it allows us to provide the children with a fabulous space for our bush kindy program.
Our 112 place centre offers dedicated spaces for Babies, Toddlers and Preschool, meaning your child will receive an age appropriate educational experience which fosters growth and belonging for all children.
Children are presented with new experiences through self and guided play and participate in our many weekly physical and educational programs.
Our highly qualified staff include Bachelor of Early Teaching educators leading our approved Kindergarten program and Diploma and Certificate qualified educators in each room to ensure your child has the best possible start to their early education. We also offer a specialized vocal program - encouraging children in their diction, rhyming, voice control, confidence and stage presence.
Children will feel engaged and inspired by the natural play spaces inside, as well as challenged and energised by the outdoors environment. Come and meet our chickens and see how our children are encouraged to be responsible contributors to their environment.

Best daycare around my area. I went to a lot of daycare when I wanted to enrol my child but Eden stood out the most. The staff is very much accommodating and polite. They listen to my needs and make sure to create an inclusive environment for my daughter. I am blessed to have them closer to my house and I recommend them to every parent especially first timers.

I've been at Eden from when it opened and have experience across all the rooms. My dissatisfaction relates to the nursery rooms specifically. Toddler rooms and above were fantastic with the staff being warm, fun and always friendly. They were wonderful at engaging the kids and always up for a chat. My younger ones experienced I think too many injuries whilst in their care and I did not feel as a parent that there was adequate attention in managing the little ones safety. This was evident by the fact my younger child came home with a head injury and no incident report and no awareness of the incident. Another incident involved my child falling off a bench whilst they were in the arms of an educator. Some nursery staff were unprofessional with one referring to my child as having been "judgey". My biggest regret was leaving them there as long as I did. I kept thinking changes in management would make a difference but I was left disappointed. Having done some recent searching the Newton/Athelstone area have many options for care now and if considering nursery, then I'd look elsewhere.

The educators at Eden Academy are in a league of their own. Every single educator takes the time to settle the children and reassure them, when in need. No child is left unsettled throughout out the day. If your child needs a cuddle the educators are there. If your child has a ‘booboo’ the educators are there to fix and tell your child how brave they were when they were feeling pain. Without hesitation the educators are always there for your child and mine. Eden Academy needs to be uplifted just as much as Eden Academy up lifts our children. A million and one thank you’s for everything you’ve done for my child and everyone else’s. Much respect.
