About Eastgardens Kindy
Give Your Child the Best start in Life
We have been caring for children for 20 years with seven of the last years with the same wonderful staff. We support and enhance the child's growth, development and learning by providing stimulating environments and individualised programs. Creating opportunities for children to engage in a variety of experiences that encompass all developmental and key learning areas. We are also a Early Learning Centre that carters for children from 0 to 6 years old. Our Early Childhood Teacher and team work daily with our children to help educate them on the Early Years Learning Framework as they work towards big school. Each child is an individual with unique interests, strengths and abilities. In their own time, every child will achieve milestones in their learning and development therefore, it is important to cater for each child. We acknowledge and respect the many differing social and cultural backgrounds of children in our care and value the experiences these bring from the home environment. We provide three meals a day, Morning tea, Lunch & Afternoon tea. We do not change Parents on Public Holidays during the year. Nappies are Free. I also stopped charging Parents Bond due to I found it crazy to take Parents money for Bond and give it back to them five years later. This has been very popular with Parents.

I have had three children at Eastgardens Kindy. One of my kids has special medical needs. All of the educators and the director Brett have taken special care of our daughter, they have learned about her condition in their own time, and they have implemented ways they can support her at kindy. The team at Eastgardens go above and beyond what is expected of them. When our daughter had a stint in hospital the kids all wrote her a card and got her a gift, the educators offered to help with pick ups / drop offs as we juggled trying to have one parent always with Chloe in hospital . We have always felt so safe leaving our kids in the centre, even our daughter who has complicated medical needs. Thank you so much to the wonderful team at Eastgardens Kindy for everything you do for Chloe.

Had my son attending his first child care in this centre. Due to the new environment, my son had trauma which led him cry very badly whole night (night to 5am unstop) for few weeks. We've reflected this issue to the director Brett and he said it is normal for a child to behave like this in the first few month. So we gave it another go. But the cry did not stop and his routine was all mess up as well as the adults. We decided to cease the child care service and we knew it wasn't the child care fault. Everything was just fine until we gave a one month notice to the director. The director's attitude changed dramatically compare to when we first visited the centre. He showed rude faces, no smile, avoid to greet us and etc. This made us even want to leave the child care quickly. (Who would leave their child to them when the director is acting like this?) During the last month we did not attend our child to the centre but still paying the fees. After that, we texted him regarding the Child Care Benefit by the Centrelink twice but he did not reply at all. We forced to go back to the centre few times to claim our child care benefit as the Centrelink wanted us to talk to the child care provider to logged in our son's previous attendance in order to get the subsidy. Each time we go there, he would use many excuses with bad attitude and say he could not do it/ask me to go Centrelink and etc. Every time the conversations would only last 2 mins long and we had no choice but to leave because he never wanted to help us. We still unable to get our child care subsidy until now, not even a single cent back. Extremely disappointed. ** To reply your respond: The day we gave you one month notice in the morning, we did attend our child and your attitude have already changed. And to correct myself, we did attend few more days in the last month before we completely cease the services. Well I cannot say much about this, because only we both know the exact situation. Secondly, if you really wanted to help us regarding the Centrelink. You would have replied my messages on 26 Jun and 24 Jul 2018 respectively when I was asking for your help. You could have then asked us to go to your office to sort it out for us. Not until you made us to go to your centre physically to ask you (just standing outside the door) several times and still did not get it done. As I said, I do agree that my son and I had wonderfull times in the centre until we gave that one month notice, but not the fact that the way we've been treated when we are leaving the centre.
Response from the ownerabout 5 years agoHi and let me say Im sorry for your situation that took place in 2018 or 2017. I have not seen or heard from you since that time. I feel this is a very cheap shot at us with a bad review considering your child was only enrolled with us for two to three weeks, two days a week before you gave notice. The two weeks he was enrolled he had a wonderful time while in the centre. As you stated he had trauma at night and cried alot at night. I did explain to you that he did cry for 5 minutes at drop off but once you were gone he calmed down. As you stated it wasn't the childcare centres fault. We must also clear up a few other points that are completely incorrect. In the two weeks he was enrolled a couple of days a week you never provided up with a CRN for Yinbit as you didnt have one as yet. You also stated that you didn't come once you gave notice of four weeks. how could I be rude if you were not at the centre for 4 weeks. After you left the centre you returned with your CRN number and I explained that now you have left the centre I can not do anything with your CRN number now as Yinbit is no longer in our system. I did try to help and I provided you with a print out of the time you were with us to prove to Centrelink that he did attend. We submit attendances to CCMS & Centrelink weekly. So they had all your details but i can not put new details of a CRN number into our system and send it to Centrelink once they have left the centre. I tried to explain this to you and your grandmother however due to the language difference I feel you think I am trying to get out of paying your Centrelink fee. This is not up to us this is up to Centrelink to pass that part of your fee onto you as I mentioned to you. I feel for you as Centrelink is hard to deal with and every mother will tell you that. If you would like to contact me I will try to help you by contacting CCMS while your in my office so you can hear this information for yourself and the best way to proceed. Please kindly remove the review this is very unfair on myself and the staff of our centre. Thankyou
