Our Vision at Active Kids is to provide an exciting and stimulating environment for children that nurtures their development and fosters their imagination and learning. The learning that takes place in the early years is vital. For this reason, we provide highly educational programs that enhance your child’s learning through play, giving them the best possible start in life. We actively engage each child’s interests and ensure that these are what lays the foundations for their learning.

We are a unique family owned and operated centre in the heart of Hillcrest. We offer a highly educational child led program right across all age groups within our centre. All of our staff are fully qualified, with many staff studying higher qualifications than what is required. Collectively we have over 97 years of Early Childhood Education experience between our staff.

We provide hassle free care for our families – where everything is thought of and taken care of for you. Our centres are a place where you can leave your cherished little one in the hands of our qualified and experienced staff, without having to worry. We welcome parent input and involvement in our centres and we encourage you to share in your child’s journey through their precious Early Years at Active Kids.

We offer a Government approved and funded Kindergarten program 5 days a week, led by a Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teacher. This program is designed for and offered to children the year prior to attending Prep to give them a kick start in their education at school, and provide them with the foundation they need to be successful learners.

• In house meal service - Meeting the needs & wants of our families, we provide an in house meal service. Our menu consists of four rotating menus filled with delicious healthy home-style cooked food by our personal centre cook. We cater for all dietary needs and special requirements
• Outdoor play areas - Our oversized, newly renovated, extensive outdoor play areas are full of adventure, sensory experience & excitement ready for your child’s exploration.
• Inclusive - We have an inclusive environment where all children and families are welcomed.
• Inclusion Support funding for children with additional needs 
• Nappies, Wipes, Hats and Drink Bottle provided on enrolment
• Courtesy bus offering home pick up and drop off 
• Sun Smart centre – Cancer Council QLD 
• Secure pin pad access on front doors – restricting unauthorised access

Programs:

• Bush Kindy and Beach Kindy in alignment with Nature Play principles and guidelines 
• Government approved Kindergarten program offered 5 days a week by Fully Qualified Early Childhood Teacher 
• Exciting Vacation Care program including Excursions and on site events and activities 
• Delicious Weekly cooking experiences led by our qualified cook 
• Extra-Curricular activities offered: Happy Feet Dance Program, & Ginger Sports Soccer 
• ELLA program included: Early Learning Languages Australia. Children learn French – incorporated into our curriculum .
• Centre pets including Chickens, Guinea pigs and fish
